Stuie Ellerton is one of the most experienced members of RJ Thompson’s band. He started playing the drums at the age of 4, with his first live performance 2 years later.
He started making waves in the industry over the following years, and was 1990′s “Drummers Alliance Best Undiscovered Drummer North UK” heat winner and finalist. Between 1995 and 1999 he was the principal percussionist with the award winning ‘Ever Ready’ brass band which included 7 appearances at the Royal Albert Hall. During this time he was also building a reputation as one of the best drum teachers in the UK, which led to him working at the world famous Drum Tech in London.
Stuie is currently the Director of The Northern School of Contemporary Music, based in Darlington, UK. He is endorsed by Sabian Cymbals, Mapex Drums, and Guru Snare Drums.
Stuie joined RJ Thompson’s band in 2009 and is featured on his new material.
